Tutoring is a way to point
someone the right direction. The tutor will help
the tutee help him or herself. Getting tutored will help the tutee
understand the
techniques, facts, and methods of the subject that you are taking.
Tutoring will
not guarantee the tutee a certain grade in a certain subject. In
addition to
understanding the techniques, facts, and methods of the subject
the tutee has
to practice doing these methods correctly. If the tutee gets tutored
and
practices the facts, techniques, methods correctly that tutee will
have a greater
chance of passing the class and understanding the material presented
in that
class.
The tutor's responsibility is
to be on time and to teach at his or her best
ability the subject in question. The tutee's responsibility is to
be on time and to
learn to his or her best ability. Also the tutee has to practice
the subject for
which the tutee is being tutored.
Appointments are to be made
by the tutee at least a day in advance.
However the tutor does not guarantee that there will be an appointment
available at any time due to the amount of clients that are received.
Some times
same day appointments may be available but that is also not guaranteed
due
to the amount of clients that are received.
The tutor may cancel an appointment
for any reason at no cost to the
tutee. If there is a replacement tutor then he or she will take
the other tutor's
place. The tutee may cancel an appointment for any reason three
hours before
the appointment begins at not cost to the tutee. If the tutee cancels
an
appointment less than twenty-four hours before it begins then the tutee
will
have to pay for the entire appointment, as agreed
with the company.
Time starts at the time that
he appointment is scheduled. If the tutor is late
then the time will start when the tutor gets there. If the tutee
is late then the time
will start when the appointment is scheduled. If both the tutee
and the tutor are
early then they may both choose to start early.
Materials that should brought
to the appointment by both the tutor and the
tutee. Materials that the tutor is responsible for is a writing
instrument for him
or herself, like a pen or a pencil. The tutee is responsible for
the a writing
instrument for him or herself, for paper to write on, for a calculator
if needed,
for books or any other printed materials, or special materials in
general that
are used for the subject for which the tutee is getting tutored.
